Breathe right, look and feel 15 years younger

By meditating and breathing right you can look and feel 15 years younger than your present age! Stress too will be banished. First master the art of breathing deeply because it will solve most of your problems.

Breathing
Breathe fully all the time. Deeply inhale from the nose to the navel and then fully exhale. By doing this you will banish all the tension in your body and will get a grip of yourself during an emotional turmoil. Breathe gently though. This form of breathing needs a bit of practice. Here’s how to do it right.

  • Lie down on the floor.
  • Place a folded towel on your stomach and close your eyes.
  • When you breathe in your abdomen must rise.
  • When you exhale it will go in.
  • Spend at least three or four seconds to breathe in and another three or four seconds to breathe out.
  • Beginners will know if they are doing it right by seeing the towel go up and down.
  • Remember to focus on your breath.
  • Also look at babies, they breathe correctly. You will notice that it’s their abdomen not chest which keeps going up and down.
  • Do at least 25 counts.

Meditation
Posture

  • Make sure that you are sitting on a hard surface, eg chair.
  • Feet must be flat on the floor.
  • Rest your hands on your knees.
  • Palms must be turned upwards.
  • Relax your fingers.
  • Sit straight. Back, head and trunk should be in a straight line.
  • Now close your eyes and relax.

Breathing
Nose to navel

  • Breathe from nose to navel.
  • Make your breathing rhythmic.
  • Depending upon your patience count for 12 or 25 counts.
  • Count backwards because this slows the mind, stops it from rushing and brings it back to track.

Nose to heart

  • Open your eyes, make sure breathing is rhythmic and close them again.
  • Imagine that you are breathing from your nose to heart. (Breathing technique remains the same as above).
  • Again count backwards for 12 or 25 counts.

Nose to centre of the eyebrows

  • Open your eyes, make sure breathing is rhythmic and close them again.
  • Imagine that you are breathing upwards from your nose to the centre of the eyebrows.
  • Again count backwards for 12 or 25 counts.

Note: During all times maintain the rhythm of breathing (nose to navel). While mediating think about light and energy flowing into your body. Inhaling and exhaling count as one count. Do this form of meditation early in the morning or before you sleep. This will get rid of migraines, heart palpitations, balance the nervous system and at night let you sleep in peace. You will start looking good in a week’s time.
